So well, I figured since I have been a hunter in WoW for years ( my guild members can argue I have been a paladin as much as a hunter if not more...), the logical conclusion was to play a sniper, I mean, I always really played my hunter as a sniper... But there is cover, and cover SUCKS. I was playing a sith warrior in the beta and I grouped up with an Imperial Agent. He was complaining about how long it took him to get into cover and how if you cannot get into cover it sucks. So this made me think, since half my guild is apperently going to be a force user, I thought, why not be a non force user?
This prompted the question of what class, Imperial Agent or Bounty Hunter... Well since the Bounty Hunter seemed the most like the MM hunter rotation wise (yes I researched this) I decided to try that first and I am going to roll imperial agent as my first alt

So uhh SWTOR is coming out.. great... so what does this mean? Well I am switching it to Star Wars.... and uhh... yeah. I am currently working on updating my site so I can use the fan site kit as it will have a cool banner or two for decoration. No clue on what class it will be, I just might try bounty hunter...

Mists of Pandaria was just announced at Blizzcon last week. There was a rumor for months before hand (mostly on twitter) that the new expansion would obviously be called Mists of Pandaria after Blizzard registered the name as a trademark for digital software.

Mists of Pandaria follows the extremely controversial expansion of Cataclysm where blizzard decided to redo most of the "old" or lower level contant (1-60) and almost compleatly ignore levels 80+. They designed the game so that you level from 80-85 and then you will have an "alternate" character progression with the Path of the Titans system. After removing this system this let the leveling path and progression drain down to "complete 1-2 zones, go to a central zone, go to another central zone, then go to a final zone after getting bored of doing the same style of 'gimmicky' or 'innovative' new quests depending on your level of hatred for Blizzard." The story for these zones was neat and all, they were just very linear and shoved story in your face even if you did not want it.

The dungeons and raiding in Cataclysm was the most controversial aspect of the expansion. When Cataclysm originally launched heroics were, well, heroic. Normal mode was a joke but everyone was happy (at least in my guild) that heroics were hard. I remember having everyone but the tank die in the wind dragon fight. The tank was a guilde and he was able to bring the boss down from 50% to 0% (he is a dk). The whole group was laughing and had a blast and it felt like an epic accomplishment, something you only see written in fantasy novels, a lone hero killing a dragon who killed everybody else. This is back when you used to groan in agony when you got H Deadmines as your random and you also sat two to three hours aside for a single heroic. But what happened? Eventually Blizzard listening to the whining "masses", I mean the forum trolls, they nerfed the the heroics to the ground. Now these were a joke, I could yell at my group for being bad if we even took 1 hour in a single heroic. Gear felt like it was just to get for raiding. Eventually Blizzard released "new" heroics and made them more difficult but if you had any kind of raiding gear, you just murdered the place.

Raiding was also ok from the start but things took a bad turn. The first few months of raiding was fine, it took maybe a few months to get around half of the 13 bosses down in heroic mode. Normal mode was still a little challenging depending. Then as Blizzard always does they nerf the tier but 30% and make it a joke. Now I consider Firelands a failure. No body likes it, all the content was cleared in the first 3 months, with the only trouble for raiding guilds like Paragon being H Ragnaros. I wont comment to much on this matter as I took a break from WoW during this time after major guild drama but I do not remember it being as fun as tier 11... Maybe because of the drama but still I wont comment on it. Can we view Cataclysm as a "transition" expansion between Wrath of the Lich King or "old WoW" and Mists of Pandaria or "new WoW"?

Wrath of the Lich King is the last incarnation of vanilla WoW. You still have "grindy"quests and just "plain bad" systems. Even though there was many important innovations during this expansion it still was created with the original WoW thought process in terms of questing. I consider questing a major part of the expansion because you look back and thats what you remember. You remember leveling to max level (at least I do) and the instances and raids just become a blur as you repeat them. I think I will look back on Cataclysm questing as something that went on for too long and something I actually did not want to complete multiple times. I think the style of questing they are delivering is more for the ADHD generation where it is easier to complete, "fun" and should be played in shorter bursts. This style of questing is the opposite of the lengthy, relaxed, and more grindy nature of questing in Vanilla, The Burning Crusade, and Wrath of the Lich King. It could be Blizzard knew that a grindy and lengthy style of questing was impossible to maintain, so they decided that at some point in the future, a revamp must be done to the game. After making Wrath of the Lich King Blizzard could have seen this and decide it was time. So they needed a decent reason to change Azeroth and they found one. Well to admit, it is a little sketchy, but still its a reason. They invented the Cataclysm. This would be the first time we would kill an aspect, and where would we go from there? So, he is dead, what next story wise? But more importantly what next mechanically?

Mists of Pandaria is already causing people to stop and think about the future of the game. What is next for WoW? Is this the game I love to play? The new talent system is one for major concern, but they are many needed things in it. I think the new hunter tree is the best example of this fresh sparkling new system, for years hunters have been utilized as the masters of CC ahead or just second to the Mage. We have had some problems over the years that we have learned to overcome with player skills such as jump shot, chain trapping, all the taming tricks to get rare pets. Now perks (what I will be calling the skills and benefits you obtain through the Mists of Pandaria talent system) give effects such as chance to reduce the movement speed of a target when hitting them with your auto attack, the three movement buffs gained from using disengage, how we CC or interrupt, and a passive bonus. We even have a perk that might be able to give you a movement speed buff when you run though your own Ice Trap as well as increasing the snare on it. So these perks have situation benifts, but what about the questing and story?

Most popular fantasy universe generates what I call "lore buffs", some become famous like Red Shirt Guy, and others are 500 pound dudes living in their mothers basement. The Mists of Pandaria expansion seems to have a story based off of ret-con lore. Blizzard has done this once before with the first expansion, The Burning Crusade... What was the draenie lore again? They crashed onto azeroth after flying around in the twisting nether for how long? They also just happened to stop in Outland and their presence causing the Orcs to become corrupted. This is why I am skeptical of the Mists of Pandaria story, I mean sure their content's story that is told through quests will probably make sense but the lore behind the race is just nasty. Really? Having the whole content being hidden by mist for 10k years? If the Pandarian who wanted to travel the world lived on the back of an ancient turtle? Then why have we not found the turtle ever before and why do why know about only one Pandarian in the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalmidor. That just doesn't make any sense logically. Can an expansion surive without a main antagonist?

Another controversial part of Mists of Pandaria is the lack of "a bad guy". Mists of Pandaria does not have any main antagonist besides possible the Sha. The Sha are a physical manifest of all things bad, normally this energy does not appear in a physical form on any other continent but on Pandaria they do. I think this is because there is an old god, who is not yet named, using his power to manipulate the region and thus causing the Sha to manifest. The Panda's have many enemies among those are mantis people, bulldogs and rabbits with the best designed ever (no not really, I wonder how the Pandarans who are famed weapons for their martial arts and brewing skills are scared of a deformed angry rabbit with a weapon that resembles a butter knife on a stick in the shape of an axe).

I would sum this up but really it bowls down to commonly held beliefs that A cata sucks and MoP will suck. I say wait until release until you make a decision. I am writing this final paragraph as of 4.3 and I am skeptical have just how well Blizzard will pull this off. I mean Pokemon AND Pandas in one expansion? Really? But I think the success of MoP will depend on the success of Star Wars: The Old Republic. PEople thought Rift was going to be a WoW killer, but it just took people away from the game. I think Star Wars will do the same, not kill WoW, but take players away from it. The only thing that can kill WoW in my opinion is Blizzard themselves because they can keep losing subscribers because of their changes to the game, till the game becomes unprofitable. Or until Titan comes out...

^That. Hey this is glass here, I have realized that I do have a blog. I did not forget about you guys or anything, anyway… If I were wondering where I have been, I was basically swamped (does that make sense? swamped?) in real life stuff. I have been raiding in Cata and all and my guild is now 9/12 normal modes. We are basically just going to need to farm gear now to get Cho’gall down, then have the big ass dragon siblings fall to point sticks.

I think it is kind of bad that instead of blogging I have been playing the new Pokémon (>_>) and am making a semi-competitive team. Not going to give out the details as I fear someone on my FB might read this and make a counter…

With the new race/class combo’s what is the reasoning behind them? Another name for this post could be “Warning, wall of text incoming!!”

Hello this is Glass here, and I was in the shower (tmi?) when I thought of this post idea. I am going to write about what I think the reason’s behind the new race/combinations are… for example Orc mage’s and Gnome priest’s. I am not the best with lore but its not that I don’t know any. Also I listed the Goblin and Worgen classes because I thought people would want to know the classes they can be but I wont go into the lore behind them.
Humans:

Human Hunter: You should have been able to play this from the start so you don’t really need an explanation on why… if magical races that are exotic (or aliens) can be hunters, then well… humans should be able to be hunters too.

Dwarves:

Dwarf Shaman: Dwarf Shamans are mostly those of the Wildhammer clan and are the most drunk ones as well. Dwarves also have those lightning hammer things that well… are lightning hammers. Gryphon riders tend to have these and the Wildhammer clan are the master of the sky’s. Each rider has a strong bond with the gryphon’s they ride and would help them with all they can do. (proof is a quest chain in twilight highlands were you go gather and do a verity of tasks to help save the wounded gryphon. You also look for a gryphon in a Hinterlands quest chain and you get the sense that the dwarves would do anything to take the gryphon back.)

Dwarf Mage: In my mind you should have been able to play this from the start, there are a variety of Earthen mobs that cast fireballs at you, Dark Iron Dwarves have a caster like mob in Blackrock Depths (ok that is a warlock but it basically is the same)

Dwarf Warlock: Any race that can be a mage can be a warlock. It is basically a rule that most, if not all, magic users can be corrupted… Now Night Elves can not be warlocks but that is because there was this thing called the War of the Ancients that kind of blow up the whole world… literally . This action was called the Sundering. Basically they summoned the Burning Legion into the world and then a rebellion defeated the Burning Legion. Ever since then the Night Elves have outlawed mages and warlocks from their society. Oh wait this is about dwarves? I see how it is… anyway the Dark Iron Dwarves have let the practice of fel magic be used and allow them to practice their art. When the Council of Three Hammers was made, the Dark Iron dwarves have taught the other dwarves to be warlocks.

Night Elves:

Night Elf Mage: As stated above, the Night Elves have seen the effect of magic on their society and do not want to have that deadly war to happen again (it did though. This was the Third War.) When the Cataclysm happened the Highborne (the class of elf that practiced the arcane arts and after the War of the Ancients were exiled) rejoined the Night Elves and they practice their art to aid the elves in defending the forests and cute teddy bears.

Gnome (eww):

Gnome Priest’s: No comment. I hate gnomes. I can not say anything unbiased about this but it is good now that my GM will be able to race change her dwarf priest to a gnome priest… wait that is not a lore reason! I can honestly not think of one for these guys so that is why I wrote that random sentence as my reason haha.

Orcs:

Orc Mage: Now Orc’s can already be warlocks, and because of that, should be able to be mage’s. I mean think about it, even though the orc's were corrupted before they could become mages, they still can as they have proven that they can use magic and not just the power of shamanism to summon “magic.” Gnomes can be warlocks and mages, so can blood elves, trolls, worgen (who are just humans with a curse really,) goblins, dwarves, and humans. It only just makes sense that a race touched by the power of demons should be able to go backwards and learn how to use arcane magic. For example humans are a race that were taught to use arcane magic by the Highborne after the war with the trolls, and they, if corrupted, could use fel magic. It is the theory of I can go from point A to point B, and also going point B to point A. (That is not really a lore reason is it?)

Undead:

Undead Hunters: In my mind this only makes sense because the Banshee Queen is basically a hunter with no pet… That and her Dark Rangers exist... as well as the fact that the blood elves are so close to their borders, and not even counting the fact that the humans can now be hunters…. So yeah you don’t really need any lore on this one to make it possible…

Tauren:

Tauren Priests: I think the lore reason for these are that the Tauren chose to allow more faiths to be practiced and since they are basically the polar opposites of the Night Elves (druid wise) they worship the sun instead of the moon. The Earthmother can also be a variety of things… which, could technically be Elune but as they are now worshipping the sun, I think we can rule that one out.

Tauren Paladins: The Sunwalkers are the order for the Tauren paladins (as the Humans have the Silver Hand and the Blood Elves have the Blood Knights.) The mount for the Tauren Pally is a kodo in bad-ass armor

Trolls:

Troll Druids: Troll religion is very unique, no matter what tribe you are looking at. There is a ton of shape shifting in their religion anyway, you might as well let Troll’s become druids. Now I know the difference between a Troll Witchdoctor and a Troll Druid, one is more of a medicine man, while the other is a protector of nature. I honestly think it was more of getting Night Elves and Tauren to accept them as druids and teach them the balance of nature and shit… but this is still fun as hell!

Troll Warlocks: Going by the role of if a race can be a mage, 10 out of 12 times the race can be a warlock. Other tribes also have warlocks so some of the trolls could have learned there and not from an actual demon.

Blood Elves:

Blood Elf Warrior: I honestly do not know why I couldn’t make a Blood Elf warrior anyway, maybe because they were to “addicted” to magic… but that is still stupid… Gnomes can be warriors, and they are the shortest race by far… so it is not like they don’t make the size plate. So I think this is just a mechanics thing, other then the fact that an army can’t have just blood knights and rangers… I guess you do need some general infantry (aka cannon fodder but that’s the Gnome P.O.W’s that they use for troll bait.)

Death Knight

Worgen:

Warrior

A good ui, a bad ui, and why the fuck is the city crawling with elementals?

Hey this is Glass here with a "short" post and I thought "I have this blog, I might as well right on it..." so yeah.. that would be great.... Anyway, I am going to write about two things today the first one is a quick recap of that stupid world event, while the other is getting your UI ready for Cataclysm raiding.
I think the world event right now is very... umm... stupid. I mean really, those cultists who are infiltrating are horrible at it, and the cops can stop it at the very beginning instead of having their city invaded by *censored* elementals! Ok rant aside it is a fun quest line, I was able to do it as a level 24 mage (horde) but my guildie told me he did it as a level 8 alt (fuck grammar I know I should have said eight and not 8 but whatever.) I think this idea is cool but I do not feel involved with the helping of investigating this cult while the zombie invasion of two years ago was *censored* AMAZING! I felt you made a difference and that there was an actual reason for helping out beside the fact that you got decent gear, while for this one, it is exactly the same stats as some stuff from ICC 10 man. So all in all, I have very mixed feelings on this world event.
Now for the main part of the post, me talking for paragraphs and PARAGRAPHS about what a good UI (in my eyes) is. I think a good UI tracks all the things you need, lets you see the shiny shit, and looks decent.
For example I want to:

Keep track of debuffs on my target.
Watch DBM.
Look at debuffs.
See my focus.
See my cast bar and my shot timer.
Chat.
See the hello kitty mini map buttons
And have a simple bar system...

Not:

See combat damage take up all my screen
See a person bragging about stupid shit like dps
And group frames to MD to that annoying asshole.

I think my current UI solves all of these. I like custom UI's that I configure by myself but if you just use the default WoW UI here is a great podcast episode (THL FTW!!!) about your UI and what you could do with it.
THL episode 26 on addons and other stuff :D The part I want to talk about is when they start to argue over are addons needed for raiding and I agree with both of them, you don't NEED addons for raiding (one of our mages in my guild did not use add-ons on fights we where still learning... and she staid out of *censored* and pulled 2nd highest dps, if not the highest dps, all the time.) While some people in my guild just have DBM and say grid as their addons. So you don't need to make a while
Bartender 4, IceHUD, buttonfacade, SBF, gchat, (these are the major addon’s I use. The others are button skins and library's.)

Well I hoped you like the post on the UI and stuff... I would like to think Xandrion of Xandrion's Blurb's for helping me with the picture and stuff (and introducing me to Windows Live Writer... also Jeffp2662 of twitter for helping me with the picture as well. Hey this is Glass here again, and I am very sorry for not updating this, I have had a few things come my way (me to busy, no internet, procrastinating, nothing to really talk about, plus if you know me in real life, I am a lazy ass honestly...) I would like to talk about what I want to do with this blog in the first place once Cataclysm comes back. So here is my list of stuff I am thinking about:

Make this blog into a more of a general leveling, then stuff from a hunter's point of view.

I realized if I talked about everything as a hunter, I can not talk about a ton of stuff.
I just enjoy leveling, in any game really, there might be stuff about Fable 3 on here once or twice, or some other MMO like DDO.
Cataclysm questing will sure start a great rant. That I can almost promise.

I will still keep up with the hunter point of view on anything. I will still talk about raiding/heroic's from a hunters view.

This will always be a hunter blog, just with more stuff about other classes. I do heal and tank for my guild as well, so I can give my opinions on that, I also do dps on a ret pally... I want to talk about that as well.
Being a hunter (in my mind) is not just mechanics, it is a mind set to me. You can not remove the things you learned as a hunter when you switch roles or classes.

I still want to be able to be a little bit funny or off topic, but not the whole immature, energetic, teenage girl persona that I feel is what my current persona is on the blog. If you have seen my twitter, you notice I do swear, and I would like to bring this language into the blog, to a point. I will not say "FUCK THIS AND FUCK THAT!!!!" or "fuck fucky fuck fuck." Also fuck will be about the strongest thing I will say.

To sum that up, I will be more mature and will swear.

I hope to still provide entertaining titles that have nothing to do with the blog post at all, so yeah... SEE YEAH!!!!

PS: I hope you like the redesign of the blog's color scheme/background design.

HEY!!!! This is Glass here! Now I was going to write a post about random stuff then I found this article about druids (sorry D: I know I know, not hunter info but still really really cool) ok so basically as of the day I am writing this, the NDA was just lifted with the story of the closed beta for Cataclysm starting! (link/ source http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/1839-Cataclysm-Closed-Beta-Test.) Now I probably know I will not get into the beta, I found pictures on one of my favorite blogs (restokin.com) of the cat and bear forms of worgen and trolls. Now I did NOT take these pictures and am just going to link you her article and em still going to emphasize that I DIDN'T WRITE/TOOK THE PICTURES IN HER ARTICLE (author of article is Lissanna http://www.restokin.com/2010/06/cataclysm-worgen-troll-druid-forms/ she took the pictures, and found all the info I am sure I cited this right?)

Ok the troll cat form is amazing, I am SCARED of that form. To bad you can see it while stealth a lil better in pvp cause of the electric blue mohawk. The cat form gets 10/5 (for epicness) bear form gets a 5/5 on the same thing. Just cause the mohawk looks a lil' weird on the bear form.

Worgan forms are pure fail D: sorry but its true, they are. I ranted about this once, and here are my reasons.
1) The cat form looks like the Tauren cat form mixed with the Night Elf cat form.
2) The same thing as one, but for bear.
3) I don't like the mane on either form... I have the horde PvP wolf (not the frostwolf howler but the black war wolf) as my hunter pet, and that is what I think a wolf in WoW should look like.

Hey this is Glass, I got a few things that need to die in a fire. This prompt "Cataclysm is coming! The old world is going to be destroyed and remade.
Which town, quest, NPC, or zone really needs to be purged with fire, in your opinion? Will you enjoy dancing on the ashes of a particularly hated quest giver? Or is there some zone you avoid like the plague (plaguelands excluded) where being nuked from orbit could only improve the experience? And why do you hate it/them so much?"- Spinks from the Blog Azeroth forums ^.^.

I think Gnomes should die in a fire first off. I think this because when I was pvp'ing on my paladin Larenada, back in Burning Crusade, and on my rogue, Jenkaya. I kept having to face gnome warriors, specced into arms, with mace specialization... Yeah the 3 sec stun keeps pissing me off, in my nightmares. Plus I just hate gnomes in general...

Another thing that should be blown up in anyway shape or form is the city Exodar. This place is not bad if you need to be alone for a dps test... it just sucks to find your way around. It has around 3 stories, many hidden rooms and shops, plus the auction house and bank locations confuse me.

A zone that should die in Cataclysm is Ashenvale... I quested here once at level 20 as a warrior. Never going to do that damn zone again. It is way to big, almost no quests, and on a PvP server, you get ganked a ton.

A crash course in raiding..... DON'T STAND IN THAT!

Hey this is Glass. With my guild South of Heaven, kinda starting an achevment ULD group( and soon hard modes), I decided to write this post on entry level raiding. Now I know that the places I will be listing is old contant, but it still is good to learn from these places. I will write a few paragraphs on this and am also aware that we are nearing the end of an expainsion and that many people don't need this information, but this could be applied to cataclysm raiding I hope and the people who need this information find this (and at least one of my three readers might find this usefull.)

Gearing up in 5 mans: Now with the introduction of Emblems of Trumph into 5 man heroics, people can gear up fast, and start in ICC... Now I do not like this practice because it says "oh I know how to play, just AoE everything down and do random stuff on bosses." Well umm no. As a MM hunter, I find stuff does die so fast, that I can never finish my rotation. I also belive that if you give people 232 gear, with out taking them into ToC 10 that they will make horrible talent, gear, and gemming decisions. For example, you don't need 4 piece t9 bonus if you are survival or MM... If you are MM or survivel just get 3/5 pieces and for helm(75 triumph badges) and shoulders(50 triumph badges), buy the ilevel 245 ones.

Now also, just because we are a class that uses mail, does not mean that we can't use leather armor. If a piece of leather (if it is a physical dps leather piece that is ) gear drops, and no one needs it, take it if it is better! There is no shame about using a leather piece if it is better. I currently have a leather chest because I am saving up for the 264 mail one. This chest piece (the one I am using) has a ton of ARP on it so that is why I am using it. Now mail armor does have the stats we need on it, so does leather. The only reasons why we might not pick up leather is A) because it has expertise on it, B) because the stats on it might be lower on the leather, even if it is a piece of equal item level to the piece you have on, or C) A feral druid/rogue might need the leather piece. This last one is really important, if a leather wearer needs it, please don't take it. They can't use anything while we can use mail, simple reasoning.

The only real way to become a real raider (in my mind) is to raid. If you only heal, tank, or dps in a heroic, then that is all you learn how to. Healing is way different in a raid and so is tanking. In healing you are more focused on keeping what ever/whoever you are healing up then running up to the tank. For tanking in heroics you try to get as much threat as possible, in raiding, you have to survive as well. (these are all based on my opinions and my not be true to your experiences.) But the first time I healed Ony 10 (on my holy pally Vicroar) I was like "OH *censored*! I NEVER THOUGHT IT WOUDL BE LIKE THIS!!" This was way different from the heroics I have been healing before. Another healing experience that was really interesting for me was a weekly ULD pug. The weekly was Razorscale. Now we are in the ground phase with 3 healers up, one healer goes down, no big deal really, then the other goes down... oh no! This was my first solo heal and it was fun, also only around 7 people died! ( I was running out of mana, needed healing on the tank, and hard to raid heal as a pally.)

Now a tip for melee dps (because I do have a retribution paladin I used to raid with) is that you should do it from behind. Not like the grab your thing out, shove it up there rear end it. Like DPS it FROM BEHIND. I know this sounds so wrong... but it is true. You remove the likely chance for your attacks to get parred. This also removes the chance that you will get hit by cleave effects and so that you won't die! Dead dps can't dps!

I am not going to include a tip for tanking because frankly, I do not have one for raiding. It's not that I can say like make sure you tank it probably and stuff, which is important, but I do not have a tank character who has done any raids yet.

Hey Glass here, I won't be talking about guys or girls today, I will be talking about my favorite books/songs/food/tea and that kind of stuff... This is a shared topic suggested by Ardol from the WoW Philosophized blog. Lets dive deep into it (that sounds so wrong!)

Favorite WoW stuff (since this is a WoW blog I do think I should start with this first:)

Talent tree: *censored* hard choice, I felt so happy leveling as MM but I also love the protection tree for paladins... Ret is fun as well, so is holy, and BM for hunters.

Alliance Race: Night Elves. This was my first race I ever played so I like these the best and they have some of the best animations for shooting weapons.

Horde Race: Orc or Tauren. I really like the Orc lore and backstory, but the casting animations and they roleplaying aspect of the Tauren really interest me.

Class: Hunter... no *censored* I think I did a post on this...

Battleground: Hard to say here, Alteric Valley probably my rouge, has the horde wolf mount, but I do not like the strategy of this battleground now a-days. I liked when there was strategy to this place.

Zone: umm umm umm....

City: Orgrimmar or Darnassus. I like ORG because of the back story, and for the fact that the backstory is really really interesting, and you get a feel of valor and conquest. For Darnassus I like the stone paths, the night elven architecture, and the sense that you are in touch with nature.

Raid: For Burning Crusade my favorite raid was either ZA for the looks, and the fights where fun (did it once) or Kara. I really like both so it is a tie between them. For Wrath, I like the gear style of ULD (tier 8 shoulders for hunters are sexy) and ICC. Now ICC because, well it is the most interesting content that I have faced this expansion...

Real World (What the *censored* there is a real world?? why yes there is:)

Book: Either Dragon Age: The Calling by David Gaider.

Artist (music): tied between Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, and Green Day.

Artist (art): not really sure, the dutch masters are nice...

podcast: I like so many I can't list them =(

Hey Glass here, my last week was hell, and I now have a few hours to write a few posts! So this week is a shared topic by Windsoar of the wow-blog the Jaded Alt, this was suggested by Nexdominous of http://nexdominus.blogspot.com/. The prompt is "What are you doing if anything to get ready for cataclysm?" And now here is my non interesting and one sentence answer to this ( I will answer it with a few paragraphs. One for my each of my 80's and one for alts:

Now this is going to sound stupid but I am still getting my hunter into that lovely and dirty stat called Armor Penetration. I know it is going to go away in cataclysm and I do think that it is kind of foolish to stack it at this point in the expansion, but I am still raiding, as my guild only has 6/12 in ICC cleared, it still is helpful. Now I want to play my druid more, but as an RP character. I always liked to RP and I think it is finally time I start. I mean, I only have to finish the FIRST POST of Worlds End Tavern, from a few months ago. Wait when the *censored* was this a druid blog!

Secondly I want to play my pally more, my healing one that is. I have two paladins, one of them is a retribution paladin, and the other is my holy pally. Recently I was raiding on my hunter, and we were having trouble with dreamwalker, So I said I could bring my holy pally so one of the tanks (one of the tanks went holy) so the tank that was healing could help tank the adds. the raid leader replied with "No thanks Glass, I would but we need your high dps to burn down the adds" now I don't want sound like a prick but THIS IS THE ONE FIGHT IN ICC I DON'T HAVE A *censored* CLUE ON! Now I know that I have never lead a raid, but I don't get why my healer is not as important as my hunter (/rantoff.) Now I forgot why I put that in there but whatever. I currently use my pally only as a character I play on sometimes and if my guild needs me to heal. But I want to start playing him more as a main, still an alt, but played more often. He might be the second person I level up in Cata, or the third. I will work on my protection off spec gear and will probably level as protection. The random dungeon tool will probably be the fasts way to level. BUT I will need the gear from the quests so I can tank/heal ok in the instances. So I will need to find the right balance of quests and instances.

For my druid will be fun. He is a bear and I will love all the RP that will come in Cata, to prepare for Cata I might finish leveling my engineering to 450 (it is like at 425 right now) and will work on his boomkin spec. But since all the wrath gear will be close to useless when Cata comes out, then umm no point? I guess I can just see the green that is way better then my purple. It would be cool to enjoy that.

As for alts of course I will start a goblin and worgen. What one I start will depend on what class I will want to play then, probably a shaman, and then do the starting zones. Then try the other, after I get to 85 on a char or two. Also I am going to be selling a *censored* load of copper and low level stuff to make a ton of money right before the expansion!

My preparations as a player for Cataclysm is just to sit tight, bunker down in my seat, group a ------ wait I am not getting attacked by rude kids on my lawn.... Anyway, I do want to become more skilled at my favorite class a hunter, have more skill as a holy paladin, and more skill as a druid. I want be skilled at the shaman class, and I want to be skilled as a warrior. I guess I can start the warrior alt right now, I want to either be a dwarf warrior, or an orc warrior... I have my reasons. Sorry for this none funny post, SEE YA!

When a mommy and daddy ooze really like each other.....

Hey Glass here, I just did the Rotface and Festergut. I am going to write a post on these fights even though I know these have been out for a while.

Rotface: This is a fun fight and easy fight from my mind as a dps. You just have to get out of the way, of the puke, and kite your ooze. And that is really all in my mind as a dps. So here is my quick strat for this fight.

1) When he tries to puke on you, run to the side or through him. So you don't get hit by the puck.

2) when you get a little ooze, kite it a little and bring the mommy/daddy ooze to the tank who is going to kite the big oozes. If there is a big ooze out, have the big ooze eat mommy or daddy ooze, and then run back to kill the random corpse that says "daddy I think I made a pooo-pooo!" If there is not a big ooze out then I guess you would have to kite it back and fourth till another mommy/daddy ooze is made and fuses into your ooze.

3) When he yells the poo poo thing he explodes a big ooze and you have to run to the walls to avoid his deadly poo poo!

Festergut: This is just a pure dps race and all you have to do is to get a spore each time they come up and dps the hardest you can.

An interesting Patchwork strategy. No jokes or talking to myself omg!

Hey Glass here, I was doing the weekly raid (Patchwork) when the group decided to do this strategy that was new to me:

Instead of having two tanks, we had one tank and I was the solo healer. The other eight people were dps, four ranged dps and four melee dps. What we did was, just all out dps and basically let the melee die. After all the melee dps died we just had to get him down with the ranged dps. This strategy works because there was nobody to take the hateful strike since the only person in range was the tank. (I was healing this on my paladin for the record, not on my hunter.)

Hey Glass here, I am going to talk about the cataclysm in my pants... I MEAN the cataclysm in the raiding community. This post will be jumping all over the place so watch out, not going to quote anything (because we know what happened when I tried that last time) and THERE will be like no order to it as mentioned before. Also....oh god, that was a HORRIBLE intro:

Now as a 10 man raider I am kind of "umm ok" on these changes. I personally think Karazhan is the best raid instance ever and should be brought back to the difficulty it was! What scares me is that as a ten man raider, I get the same reward as the 25 man raiders. Now this makes me feel a little better, but also is just handing out epics to 15 less people and saying "*censored* you!*" to the 25 man raiders. Who possible work harder for the gear (you can tell I NEVER do 25 man raids.)

Now I kind of like how the raids will be a little shorter but really people... would it feel epic? It better be so *censored* hard that it hurts in real life. I want a level of difficulty in raiding again, not just I have to learn these three mechanics and stay out of crap. That is not fun to me, it feels like a dps race or something where you just stand out of crap. In Karazhan you have unique fights like opera (I KNOW! we all loved that one /eye roll,) chess, Neatherbane (that is the name right? that big dragon with the beams and you got to stand in them,) to me Prince was a fun fight. HELL! Zal'Aman (ZA, it is that 10 man troll raid in BC, I think I spelled that wrong though) was a great instance! some of the most stressful stuff I have been in. I just don't get that feel of fun or nervousness I love to get when I raid anymore. So I hope I will get that again in Cataclysm. I have a feeling I would, a gut feeling, and a thigh feeling.

I hope they do something like they did in Burning Crusade where for t5 you had two raids. you had Tempest Keep and Serpent Shrine Cavern. Even thought I only did TK once, I liked the art (I am a big fan of blood elven music and architecture,) and it was memorable fight (we only got the big bad void reaver dude down). TK had only four bosses in it, yet it provided great difficulty and looked amazing. That is what they need in Cataclysm. A good in-between of difficulty and length. Not something like Uldaur where most people did not clear it, not like Naxx where it took to long and was easy to clear it. More like umm well THERE IS nothing BUT TK (you can also tell I have never done that place more then once)

If we can raid in like blue like gear.... then you should be able to quest and do a ton of starting heroics to get the gear. I can't wait for there to be like +100 agi and something like +5 mastery on a BLUE mail chest piece for hunters... It would be insane. that means I could use my t10 gear and be fine (even if my chest piece is leather, hell it has ARP on it... also the stats I gave out for Cataclysm gear is just speculation and just put out random stats)

Now I am cool with having Algalon like fights in raids and I would like to make an even better idea for a fight like that. Make a rare spawn like boss in each instance. So if say a raid has the normal five bosses. A sixth one could appear. Maybe a mob, or a special pack of trash is spawned right before a boss pull. This pack yells out a few role playing emotes that lets you know that the boss is in your raid ID and then a door, or something like a door (a pitfall, a trap, a portal, or you just get teleported to the boss room) and BOOM! There is the new raid boss for you to fight. This boss is on par with the difficulty your raid is set on and that kind of stuff. He might drop a token, or some special items, and a badge or two. This could be to add some fun to the raid and make it more interesting. I am not saying every raid ID should have one, just say one out of 10. This way we might have a reason to go to a raid if we already cleared it half way through an expansion.

leveling another hunter... L2 Kite NUB!

Hey Glass here, I am currently leveling another hunter so I think I am going to write a post on that right now, hope you enjoy1

Now Zulhand, my level 34 dwarf hunter is MM and I love it. He has a raptor pet named spikey and kicks ass, big time. In random dungeons he has serpent sting, arcane shot, aimed shot, and multi shot to use. I like to use serpent sting, arcane shot (because I have the arcane shot glyph that returns some mana back if I have a sting up,) then aimed shot/multi shot (if there are three or more enemies in an area I will use the multi shot.) I manage my pet (because he has a tendency to run off) and now have FD (feign death) to use if I pull aggro. My only problem is that I do not have steady shot so I have to just stand and auto shot for a few seconds...

Now for soloing I have a few complaints. Beside the fact it takes way to long to kill things in viper, taking WAY to much aggro in hawk, and my pet not being able to keep aggro. Not sure if I would like to solo a ton when leveling. Leveling is way easier in groups, but you do need to quest, now I know these problems will be solved when I respec to BM but whatever I want to level from 40-58 as BM then MM agian... SEE YA!

Hey Glass here, now some of you might have noticed that I changed the name of my last post... Well Seven from Raid Warning complained so I did; Also, I am going to write about World of Warcraft this time! What a revolutionary idea write about warcraft on a warcraft blog (yeah I am that ground breaking!.) Today I will be talking about what I like about the hunter class:

My favorite thing about the hunter class is that I am an archer and that I am wearing mail. If I was an archer wearing plate. Then I would feel like a warrior who kills with a bow, so mail makes sense. You have a sense of mobility that you don't get with plate, and every time I make a new fantasy character to write about, (whether for school, public, or private writing,) I always make their armor plate mail... Well I guess that is plate, but not as heavy.

I also feel that i can stand back and snipe an enemy, without them knowing. In Dungeons and Dragons the "hunter" is called a ranger. The part of the three main kinds of classes a ranger would be in is being a striker. A striker is like a dps class in WoW. A dps class in WoW (at least in my mind) is ruled by the meters (/fail).

Another thing I like doing is poetry (that sounds dirty...) Here is a hunter poem for you:

The soft snap of a bow,
A low growl from a prowling cat
A freezing cold arrow, heading for a heart.
A cat mauling the fore, forming a bloodlust in it's heart.
An arrow, flying through the air silently.
A once living orc falls onto the cold forest floor.
A young Night Elven maiden, jumps out of the bushes, with a bow of bone,
Walking steadily toward the fallen orc.
She gracefully grabs her axe,
and slams it into the head of the fallen orc.
Her cat grabs the head, plays with it a little, then lets it lie.
They peacefully walk away, showing an unbreakable friendship,
that was never thought possible.

Ok sorry my poetry is horrible, if you want to point out anything that is wrong with it (like format) just make a comment, blah blah blah. Hey Glass here, ever get hungry/thirsty during a boss fight? Need that extra kick to get Arthas down? Well here is my guide to raid snacks and drinks for that extra kick when a mana potion wont do.

Water: haha get it >.> ok bad joke but basically a nice ol' glass of water is good for you, and is tasty. You want as much water as you can, but please don't drink to much and get water poisoning (like where you drink way to much water.) My mum tells me I should drink like 8 cups a day of water.

Tea: Earl Gray and English Breakfast are my favorite kinds of tea. I only drink black tea unless it is a really, really good green tea. I prefer the Twinings brand of black tea. I like to leave the tea bag in for a good hour or so it gets nice and cold, with a bitter taste that makes you want to puke in a way. This tea recommends 3-5 minutes of steeping. that is good as well.

Iced Tea: There is a certain kind of iced tea I like as well. I forgot the name but it is like an earl gray or something with some peach flavor. It is a leaf tea so that means you need to have a teapot thing. so bla bla bla make the tea, then pour the hot tea into a cup that is filled completely with ice. And yeah, you have ice tea.

Canada Dry, Ginger Ale: As I am writing this, I just had a glass it is good stuff, it has a good amount of sugar, 24mg per server (8 fluid oz.) It has no caffeine (sadly) so you can have this during late night raids and still be able to sleep after.

Pepsi/Coke: Now I know some people are die-hard Coke fans and other people are die-hard Pepsi fans but I don't give a flying *censored* about which one I drink. Coke has more spicies in it ( I am comparing the regular versions together for the sake of this post) while Pepsi is sweeter. Now I don't know the amount of caffeine per serving and the amount of suger per serving, but hey are both good. If I could I would get 20 oz of either for a raid night, and a cup of tea as well.

Now lets get into some food:

Pie: Most people like pie (and if you don't, you are weird >.>) well basically just get a slice of your favorite kind of pie and enjoy ^.^

Cookies: Again, get some of your favorite cookies and eat them during the raid =P

Dinner: I have done this many times, eat your dinner while raiding (if you eat around dinner time that is) =P. (Well you can do this with any meal if your raid time is around said meal.)

Whatever you want: just really eat what ever you want, everyone has their own preferences, like candy, pie, pasta, lasagna, bacon, well yeah you get the idea.

Hey, Glass here, I will be going over some of the more random hunter changes as well as some of the big ones. All the blue text is a quote from Nethaera who posted this info.

"Additionally, hunters will now start with a race-appropriate pet at level 1 and will be able to tame a different pet at level 10." A this will be a cool change, it will really teach young hunters how to use a pet and then let you tame the one you want.

"Cobra Shot (level 81). A new shot that deals Nature damage instead of Physical damage. This ability will share a cooldown with Steady Shot. This will give hunters an alternative to Steady Shot on heavily-armored targets, and we will have talent incentives in the Beast Mastery tree to make this a signature shot." Cool, this will be interesting. As MM Steady shot will still be better. Surv might like this as well, with their new mastery thing and all.

"Trap launcher (level 83): When used, the next trap can be shot to a location within 40 yards. This provides the current Freezing Arrow treatment to all traps and, as a result, we will be removing the current ability Freezing Arrow. 1-minute cooldown. No global cooldown." This will be so handy! That is all I can say.

" Camouflage (level 85): The hunter enters an obscured state that prevents him or her from taking ranged damage. The character would still be subject to melee or area-of-effect attacks, and dealing or taking damage will break the Camouflage effect. The hunter can move and set traps when under Camouflage, and will receive a damage bonus when attacking while under Camouflage (which will then break the effect)." OMG I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS!!!! This sounds so cool, I know it is mostly a PvP thing but it will find a big use in PvE as well. This will mostly be used as a way to get more damage when you use your cooldowns and stuff.

MM mastery: "Double shot, The hunter will have a chance to launch a free attack off of the global cooldown for 50% damage." Yeah, don't we have a talent for this?

BM mastery: "Pet Damage, Many of the passive benefits to pet damage will no longer be available in the Beast Mastery talent tree. However, these will be provided through the new Mastery mechanic." Hmm interesting, this will be cool to see how it turns out.

Surv mastery: "Elemental damage, Hunter abilities such as traps, Black Arrow, and Explosive Shot will do elemental damage of the following types: Arcane, Fire, Frost, Nature, and Shadow." I can not wait to see the new tree! As I said, the new shot might be better for this tree since it deals nature damage then say Steady Shot.

Well Glass here, sorry for the late post, (again I really need to work on getting regular posts out.) Well this week we will be talking about what to do with your raid cancelled. Let me list a few things off quickly here:

Go to a movie with friends or family: This depends on the time you raid/ your time zone. This would be good if you raid at about mid-day on weekends and nights on weekdays.

Spend time with your family/friends: This also depends on your time zone/raid times. If you know in advance? Then get some friends together and go out for a drink. Got kids? Go to How To Tame your Dragon depending on their age of course =P

Write on your blog if you have one. Or play some WoW: Now for this one I do many raid nights ( There is sometimes a period that could be WEEKS long were I do not raid because the raid is cancelled.) Ok I suggest this sense that if you raid late at night, you can't go hang out with friends/family and stuff SO here is some stuff for that late night raider to do. If you have a blog, feel free to write on it, or just play some WoW. Do a random heroic or two. Level an alt maybe? You can also play around on Facebook, but please no one likes farmville spam.

Listen to a live podcast if you can: If you can catch a live podcast, feel free to do so if you like it, I catch TNB(Twisted Nether Blogcast) when I can, (as it starts in the middle of my raiding, or when I should be raiding.) If it is a call in show, Like THL (The Hunting Lodge)

Take a run/walk in a thing called "real life park": This is a good one, if you spare time, go for a walk where ever you live, you might want sunscreen if it is like super sunny. Don't go out if it is rainy. You might get a cold or swine flu (god now I am starting to sound like my mom! >.>)

Play other video games: Because most people can not play with just one, (yes I stole that from Polygamerous) I say play other games, Pokemon, Halo, Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty, Second Life, and Earth Eternal. (This is a real game here is the link http://www.eartheternal.com/)

Hey Glass here, because I could not figure out what to complain about, here is a shared topic from blogazeroth.com.A

"A while ago Blizzard came out with the stat that 70% of its accounts don't ever make it past level 10. While I am sure that Blizzard can put in some great analysis of their game, I am also sure that they would love to hear more player feedback on the new level experience.

Now I realize that most of us are far from newbies and we won't be able to get into a newbies mind set perfectly (heck I am 10 years out of newbiehood for MMOs and 5 years out for WoW), but I think we can all add to the dialog about those first 10 levels, what works for you and what doesn't.

Obvious examples of "broken" 1-10 experiences are hunters--a petless pet class and paladins--who, if they are lucky, get to hit a second button in combat 1-10. I have a some what closer examination of the dwarf paladin experience on my blog, but it needs working and technical corrections at least. It would also be recast as a Blog Azeroth topic rather than a SAN project."- Gutammer.

Now as a hunter, I think we all know where I am going to go toward here. The "hard mode" of leveling as I call it, LEVEL 10 WITH NO PET! Now please mind you, it has been a long time since I did this because these are the only levels that cause me to not roll another hunter again.

Level 1: easy, just point and shoot, run back, do a jump shot if needed. These first mobs should only take 3-4 hits to die.

Level 2: Same thing as one, just kill stuff the same way.

Level 3: You are going to to do the same thing, but this will take many more jump shots and kiting (if you can call it that).

Level 4: Ok now you get Serpent Sting and Aspect of the Monkey, at this level. Pull the mob with serpent sting and then do the jump shot/kiting as normal. Reapply the sting when needed. Always have aspect of the monkey on

Level 5: Same as level 4.

Level 6: You learn arcane shot and Hunters Mark. Note, you do not need to put Hunters Mark on each and every fight but if you want to you can. Now pull with the sting again, but then use Arcane shot. So your rotation should be Serpent Sting (just keep this up) >Arcane shot> jump shot/kite.

Level 7: same as level 6

Level 8: The most important thing you get this level is concussive shot. All you do to help you kill stuff is now use that first, then serpent sting, followed by arcane shot, THEN you can do the kiting/ jump shots.

Level 9: Same as level 8.

Level 10: OMG YOU GET YOUR PET! Enough said, same basic thing really. You might still use the rotation for a little till your pet can steal aggro from you at higher levels (at least level 20.)

Basically, levels 1-10 is HELL as a hunter, but improves us for basic PvP, raiding, and of course leveling. Trapping in BC was based on this in a way and of course, this makes us not to be a huntard ^.^ I hope you like the new look of the blog, SEE YA!

World's End Tavern: A more appropriate title... (the continuation of part 1)

Hey Glass here, sorry for skipping a few posts. I know, I know all 5 of the readers (I got an official head count from a friend of mine who will not be named) that Glass is back and so is more mass! Wow that sounds horrible but ANYWAY its time for that annoying Worlds End Tavern post that is not about hunters to happen again!

Vicroar Urthadar: Human, Holy Paladin. Ah a quiet little boy was he, just under the age of 16! When he was recruited for the army you see, and very religious was he! (ok I will stop with this poetic form right now sorry) Vicroar was recruited for the Stormwind army. He is a medic and has a shield and a sword that was blessed in the what is now the Undercity in the throne room of the former human capital. (That is the room you are in with the throne and stuff once you cross the wooden bridge to get to the elevators that bring you to the Undercity.) His shield has an inscription on it. It is "Stand Strong, for Kaz Moden!" in Dwarvish. He decided to become a paladin because his father, who served in the First War, was almost killed by an orc, but at the last second, a paladin came up, smashed the orc, and then healed all of the wounds the father had.

Vicroar's father saw the good in his son, and since the Third War just ended, and encouraged him to become religious. Then Vicroar's father "volunteered" his soon for the army and thats how he became a fighter. Once a paladin saw Vicroar's talent for the healing arts he put in a recommendation(or something like that) for him to become a paladin.

The shield was passed on to Vicroar by one of his father's good friends. The dwarf was too old to make any use of it and on his death bed and had no kin to pass the shield on to. Right as he died he said "Take my shield good friend, you will make good use of it" and then passed away. The shield was a family heirloom of the dwarf and since Vicroar's father was old himself at the time this happened. He gave the shield to Vicroar.

Vicroar now travels with the Alliance forces in outland. He is stationed near Shattrath City currently.

Ok I hope you like these up coming posts and truth be told about this one, I thought I could get about four characters into this and then when I realized how detailed this one character was, "wow lets just do this one for today" and no more characters... well thank you all five readers for reading this, Glass out. Davdak Soulaxe: Dwarf, Retribution paladin. He is from a peasant family and is of the Bronzebeard clan. His mum and dad where killed by trolls. He served in the dwarven army in the first war (as a warrior and this is where his fighting skill was showed) and then he went to outland. He was stuck in Honor Hold when the Dark Portal closed.

Glass: Night Elf, Beast Master hunter. She is from a noble family and is the "rotten apple" of said family. Her older sister Aradiana is a druid and always bugs Glass about her path of life. Glass was about to be a druid then decided to run away from her family after a nasty fight with her parents. She has changed her name from Carsys to her current name of Glass in her travels across the Eastern Kingdoms. She hates her family and would rather not be connected to them in anyway shape or form.

Moonblaze: Tauren, Feral druid. He is young and is really calm. He wants to help the Cenarion Circle but also wants to help all races. He strives for peace between the horde and Alliance because he has worked with the nigh elven druids. He is an apprentice to a druid called Aradiana. He prefers his bear form and protects the innocent with it. As he still is an apprentice, he fallows Aradiana's travels through outland.

Aradiana: Night Elf, Feral druid. She is from a noble family like Glass, she still calls Glass, Carsys whenever she wonders into Moonglade. Aradiana picks on Glass when she can. Aradiana is also a master of feral combat and has trained many pupils. See Glass's description on her family. She wants to help bring Glass back into the family, but so far, only fighting has started between these efforts.

NOTE: This will be done about every Friday so yeah. This is not about hunters in any way and is kind of like an RP story thing. Also the names Glass and Moonblaze where taken from my hunter and druid's name in WoW so those where not made with the name generator.

Sorry for the swearing in my title but what ever ^.^ Glass here giving you my view on "If you had the chance to start all over again in WoW, but your char is already level 80, or level 1 depending on if you like to level or not :>. What class would you pick? What race? What faction?
Why would you pick that class/race/faction?" now let the rent begin!! And a wall of text!

If I got hacked and all my characters where deleted I would first get my hunter, both my paladins, my druid, and my rogue restored... I like literally have emotional feelings for my hunter's (and my hunter) pets first off. Like a real problem of taming a new pet for me is "when I do tame my wolf, would I love him (or her I have looked and I think my wolf is a she) enough to keep him and use him?" Like I still have my first cat, Letmetank that I had since level 10. So that is the first thing I will do. The second thing I would do is start raiding again. Plain and simple, I don't care if I have to faction change my druid and do that to one of my paladins as well (with a server change) to raid. It is just what I love to do.

Now If I would have to level a new character I would make a shaman. I have always wanted to play one but don't want to level one. Now for race I would say Tauren or Orc. Tauren because who would not want to be a mass of beef and fat (and muscle) running toward a puny little gnome? Orc because the totems look cool and almost all the casting/swing animations are good. Not to mention their racial (bloodlust, I think that is what it is called. I know I should research this stuff but whatever >. >).

Now If I had the options for Cataclysm I would chose a Tauren Paladin because I would like to see the holy light animation. Basing on the animation I will then chose my spec. Retribution if it is a crappy animation and holy if it looked really really cool. Like how an orc male shoots a gun cool. So my offspec (off specialization) might be Protection as well because a one second stun might be good for setting up a holy shield or a consecration. And Tauren's have a racial that increase their health by 5% (they could have removed this but I don't think so) Now all of these racial will probably change in Cataclysm.

If I could say have a dwarf shaman as an alt I would. If only just to check out the animations and stuff. It would be cool to play. And also I like my Tauren druid, but when we can make Troll druid's, Troll's can be druids, they will probably be the best cats/moonkin/tree because of their haste racial but Tauren would be better for bear because of the + 5% health. Now I just relized that there is only one whole hunter paragraph... sorry =(. Well in the random words of me... "^.^ <------ is a conversation killer." SEE YA!

Why hunters should not get a new energy system

Hey Glass here.... This will be an interesting topic today. It is why hunters shouldn't get a new energy system in the next expansion.

As we all know, hunters are getting a new energy system in cataclysm... its called Focus (yes that is what our pets use) now I do not think that we need this new system and that mana is fine.

When I mean "mana is fine" I mean like with a few changes...

1) Give us a mana pool size of a ret pally that means around 7k mana

My reason behind this is that we do not have to have more int on our gear and we can have more of the sexy agility we want on our tier gear...

2) Make shots cost almost no mana

This way we do not have to go into viper at all and can remove viper all together!

3) Give us a Divine Plea like ability to re gain mana when needed

Divine Plea returns 25% of your mana back to you but halves the amount you heal by... now this wont work with hunters unless we get something like a viper maybe your pet's damage is decreased by 25% for the duration of the Plea. Now I know this wont work for BM but maybe they can have a talent that says "your *insert plea name hear* now reduces your pet's damage done by 12% instead of the 25%" or something like that...

4) If we end up with to much mana then we will become like holy paladin!

Simple Answer here. Give our pets new things to do... Like a kill command like thing that lets the pet eat your mana to buff it... And then there would be three different versions of this...

DPS: Increase AP of pet by 3/6/9% for every 5% of mana taken from the hunter (example: you get 9% AP increase if the pet "eats" 15% of your mana. 6 if it eats 10% and 3 if it eats 5%. so like the pet channels this and then gets the buff at the respective amounts.)

Tank : Increase avoidance and health by 3/6/9% for ever 5% mana taken from the hunter (so same thing as dps really just a different bonus to stats)

Yeah well those are just my ideas I know these arnt balanced but whatever Blizzard should just do something like that... and again following the words of the wise and hysterical Wych... SEE YA!!

How to tame your druid

Ok after reading the book Stormrage by Richard Knaak... I decided how I should... oh what is the right word for this? Umm would it be enslave or tame? Well enslave would implies that I am a cruel souless person... *cough cough* warlocks *cough cough* ANYWAY! Lets learn how to tame a druid:

Step 1) Have fresh gnome on hand...

Step 2) Chose if you want a Night Elf or a Tauren as your pet... Also make sure you get the right spec, bear or cat depending on what you want to do with your pet...

Step 3) Use Concussive shot on said druid... NOTE: If you are of the same faction of the druid then they can/will be tamed with out fighting...

Step 4) feed your new druid the gnome....

Hello Glass here... Do you get the joke in the title? I hope you do or other wise I would have no clue how you will get this post... Now this week will be eavesdropping on a WoW conversation in the real world (what ever the hell that is) and what benefits it might have for you as a hunter!!

Now I am the person who listens to everything I hear, well most of the time... If its about WoW I hear it right away. Now I prefer to call eavesdropping a "hunt" for "friends"(what ever those are as well)...

Anyway! I have had like 3 people come up to say "cool I play WoW too! I have *insert class and spec here* a *insert race here* and he is on *insert realm/server name here*!"

One was a kid from school (the jocks I really don't like) said he has a restro shaman... and thats great and all but thats not a hunter! If he drops some things on to the ground steals my gear, and is wearing two maces on his waist then he aint a hunter!

The next one was a waiter at a brewery and I was reading one of the dungeon dompanions and he said "oh you play WoW as well..." then we talked about it a little till he asked for our order... so I basically explained to him that I played a hunter and stuff.

The last person is a girl who is new to my school and she claimed to have played but yeah... no proof there =(...

I guess when I am writing this I have only eavesdropped once but since there would no reason to delate everything about this then hell here it goes!

I was in a line for something at my school and I heard like "ok well I am at level 37 and in stone talon mountains" well something like that....

So the hunter in me says "what server do you guys play one" they replied with their server and then I think to my self "ok not on my realm dang..." Of course the next stupid question that I say is "what faction? Horde or Allience?" They say horde... yeah no need for any other details there...

Ok so you are now wondering why I said how this might help you as a hunter? Well it helps you look for warlocks to MD to! If they are a warlock, on your server, and the same faction. Try to run a raid with them if you can so you can try to MD the boss to them! FD then laugh hysterically!

Hey Glass here! I have an interesting topic for today (well for this post you know what I mean.) But before that, you first need a little story of who Wolfie is... Ok, Wolfie, my favorite wolf pet is always the first one to get the funny emotes when waiting for something in a raid, or an instance. One day in H Halls of Reflections. I just made some funny emotes with /e and yeah thats the whole story basically. The subject is:

1) "How will it change YOUR game?" Basically playing a hunter, this next expansion will screw us over, big time. All the spread sheets will be gone. 4) "Have you been a hardcore raider and would like to get more into the lore and questing or vice versa?" NO! NO! NO! The problem is I do not want to be breathing down the throat of Heroic Arthas! I think there is enough lore through questing as it is... and I am sick of questiong. Getting four 80's is enough of the same quest lines in my mind...

MM----
A marksmanship hunter is the so far best dps spec in the high end content. There are two builds for this spec. ARP and non ARP (ARP being armor penetration). ARP MM means you are stacking the set ARP and MM is just a marksmanship spec.

I am just assuming you have the right gear for an ARP MM build. The MM build is basically the same (assuming that you are hit capped at course.) BUT move the 3 points in improved Steady Shot to Improved Arcane shot because Arcane Shot deals more damage then your Steady Shot if you have less then about 350 passive armor penetration...

EDIT: I did not theory craft this stuff. I feel strongly against it and I know it makes your DPS higher BUT... I have tried these out and know that these specs are good and better if played correctly. Also if you want to make any changes then do so. These are the spec's I prefer, If you notice the links below you will see the ones listed above are slightly different then the ones in these forums/blog posts.

Ok Glass here first night back raiding! (yeah!) Anyway for some reason we are failing I mean failing against Lord Marrowgar! This guy is basically ok keep the tanks up. Dodge the shiny fire on the floor. Kill the spiked people. Rinse and repeat. And you get shiny lootz. But some how we could not do this simple dodge fire shoot spikes dance. (I was healing this time and was not focused on the shooting part) We had most of our normal raiders doing the right thing. The damage that the Marrowgar was taking was absolute crap!! We had two amazing damage people only do about 3000 dps (they normally push 4k dps ((dps stands for damage per second.)) We where able to live till about 50% (like 4.5million health) on our best attempt and then kept failing to down him from there. Beside 2 new people in the raid. We have all done this before. So not sure for the wipe's but lets hope for a better run tomorrow so SEE YA!

Hey Glass here........ sorry about my non hyper or entertaining intro this week but one of our guilds (by ours I mean the guild I am in) main healers left yesterday. He should be still able to raid with us according to him but yeah our raids are now up in the air so.... Not sure If we will still be raiding a lot anymore but I was talking with him and he said according to one of the officers (in his new guild) as long as the raid times does not mess with the their schedule for raiding he is fine and will be saving my arse if i ever fail..... again....

Hey Glass here!! Ok so this week I will be going through some quick news. First off, thank you for all three readers (thats an over estimate) for reading this blog! My guild Veni Vidi Vici downed Deathbringer Saurfang last week! I was kiting during that fight and failed because I died. Anyway back to real news. Blizzard said that you have unlimited attempts on end of wing bosses. Like Professor Putricide, Blood Queen, and the Lich King. This is a great idea in my mind because now guilds who struggle on one of these bosses can beat their heads against the wall till the bosses hit the ground (for the second and final time that is.) Ensida (worlds top guild raiding wise) killed the Lich King last week and got BANNED for it. The ban was 72 hours long and one person has quit the game (from what I have heard. this is probably a rumor.) While Blizzard removes credit for the kill. Paragon got the first "legit" kill and has been named as world first. I think this is completely stupid! The problem with the Ensida kill is that there was a bug and the platform which the fight is taking place on, rebuilds when a rogue used a Saronite Bomb.(the day after Blizzard fixed this problem)Rogues use this item to increase there damage done during the boss fight. Every raiding rogue uses this . Now I think Blizzard should not have taken away the kill but whatever. The past is in the past so lets deal with it. Rant time! So first thing first! Thank you for reading this (all three of you)! I have been thinking that the last patch of Wrath of the Lich King (patch 3.3 that went live on 12/18/09) is going to stay for along time. The last boss of the new raid and the expansion, the Lich King should be coming out in February! the perfect time for Valentines day. I can imagine some guy somewhere like "Honey! We killed the Lich King! I am going to stop playing now!"

Anyway back to the main topic of this post. Being a hunter in a raid means couple of things...

1) Shooting back at things with a bow or gun.
2) Stopping your pet from standing in that shiny stuff.
3) Tranquilizing gigantic yeti's from time to time when someone forgets to run out of the way
4) Place down a trap to snare (or impair) the speed of a ball of ooze that can kill you
5) Being fire bait on fail Lord Marrowgar strategies
6) Misdirecting evil things to your meat shield.
7) Buy 20k+ of expensive arrows in around one month.
8) Buying food for the lucky pet that wants to kill for you (assuming you feed it that is)
9) Stand out of shiny stuff.

Now some of you might not know why this is a rant but well... Some other classes *cough cough* mage *clears throat* well classes like the mage just cast spells at the target and stay out of stuff. Thats all. And still beat us on the non important dps meaters. I know this rant sounds like I am complaining about having responsibility. But its not. Its a rant on how other classes just burn stuff and I get to buy my arrows, food, repair bill for my bow, and did I mention I get yelled at if I forget to tranquilize the yeti?

Ok! I know this is mainly a hunter blog (if you can call 3 posts a blog) well basically I was leveling my druid who is a healer. There where two hunters in my group and I was having to heal their pets sometimes. So this got me thinking, should healers have to heal my pet to keep from dieing? Or do I just let the pets die?

When I play my hunter, I always think "my pet is going to die soon. Let me heal it."(hunters have a skill called Mend Pet to heal their pet when soloing." When I am on my druid I think "that pet is going to die. Let it die." If I get yelled by the hunter, then who cares. He should have kept his pet alive. If the tank dies because I healed a pet. I try not to yell at the hunter.

If I see my pet about to die, and then see a sudden heal on it. I ask the healer to see if he/she is healing my pet. If so, I try better to remember to heal it.

Hey! Glass here! Sorry about this delayed post. This week the second wing of ICC has come out and contains the bosses Rotface, Festergut, and Professor Putricide. These bosses look fun enough, well as long as shooting arrows (or bullets) at a giant scary, walking corpse goes.

These next three boss are probably dropping two Emblems of Frost each. Making the total amount of Emblems of Frost available each week from 27 up to 33 in one week max. (that is saying if you did the weekly raid, 7 random heroics and kill all the boss in ICC each week on just one of the two difficulties. Now you could get 14 more bringing the total up to 47 a week if you do both difficulties. But that is ALOT of playing and If anyone has that kind of time on their hands, then well they have no life)

Ok these sound files are funny I will like them to you and yes, Professor Putricide sounds like the Professor from Futurama!
